Helping companies through these times
As a major player in the North East, Teesside University has been keen to do as much as we can help local businesses affected by the current recession. This is why we launched our 16-point plan earlier this year, with a wide range of actions designed to contribute to achieving better business performance and a healthier economic climate in the region.
Measures included halving the time it took us to pay our bills to local suppliers, bringing forward new building and building maintenance plans to create jobs for local businesses, delivering a programme of graduate internships for business, and introducing special initiatives to support the process industry, including a new Science to Business Hub supported by the European Union. And, through our unique OneDoor partnership with further education colleges in the
£1m of funding available to provide businesses with subsidised access to innovation, graduate placement and workforce development opportunities.
