Tomorrow’s World: Staying Alive! (….and learning from the toughest service sector of all)
Time: 6pm - 9.30pmAs we approach 2010 Service Network is taking a closer look at just how far we have come over the last decade, how we have been shaped by the world around us, and how well set we are for the future. This Christmas event is an ideal opportunity to invite your friends to an evening of festive networking which will bring insight into the world around us. We are delighted to introduce two leading speakers to share their experiences and expertise, talking us through evolutionary change over the last decade and sharing their thoughts of what the next decade may have in store: The Next Generation: Boldly Going! - Professor John Burn, Head of Institute and Medical Director, Newcastle University is a world-leading academic in the field of genetics. Professor John Burn will take us through how human genetics have changed to “survive” over the last decade. He will also show what the next decade holds and give an insight into the astonishing medical developments that will take us there. The Now Generation: Boldly Staying! - Dr Kevin Jones. Never mind tomorrow’s world, staying alive in the midst of today’s hurly burly can be enough of a challenge. Dr Kevin Jones, a practicing surgeon, will without doubt have us in “stitches” with his tales from the world of medicine. With over 30 years medical experience (in the most challenging service sector of all!), he will demonstrate how learning from past experiences can strengthen our ability to deliver excellent customer service – even to “sore” customers!
