Begbies Traynor Supports Local Theatre
A North East business has given its support to the latest offering from Royalty Theatre Sunderland.
Business rescue, recovery and restructuring specialist Begbies Traynor is sponsoring the theatre’s latest play, ‘Privates on Parade’, which will run from 1st to 6th March. The play is a bawdy, musical tale about a British army entertainment corps travelling through Malaysia in 1948.
Simon Lundy, director of Begbies Traynor’s Newcastle office, said: "I have been involved with the Royalty Theatre for almost twenty years, for many years as a sponsor and, more recently, I spent seven years as the theatre’s treasurer.
“As well as being a registered charity run by unpaid volunteers, it is the only non-professional theatre in Wearside. We are lucky to have this great amenity and it’s important that the local community continues to support it, both by businesses providing sponsorship and also by local people attending the shows.”
